GUNNISON CONSERVATION DISTRICT DISTRICT MANAGER: Position Description and Work Agreement: This position serves the Gunnison Conservation District (District) in Gunnison, Colorado. The District functions in collaboration with the National Resources Conservation Service (NRCS), Gunnison, Hinsdale and Saguache Counties, and private landowners within the District boundary. This position works to provide assistance and support to the Board of Supervisors and landowners within the district to implement natural resource conservation. The District Manager provides administrative and clerical support for the District to achieve its mission. This position is a part-time position based on funding with no assurance of future employment. The maximum number of hours to be worked monthly is established by the DistrictÕs Board of Supervisors. Currently the position requires 2 hours per day, five days per week, for a total of 10+ hours per week, and approximately 40 hours per month. These hours are flexible in that summer might require more time and winter less but will remain within budget restrictions. A Minimum of $12 per hour with a potential higher rate based on experience and performance, and the DistrictÕs Budget may be available. Duties: 1. Financial management of District funding and accounts which includes; paying bills, sending invoices, taxes, account reconciliation, reporting, filing, and general bookkeeping. 2.
