Racers treated to another stellar CB3P

Ski, bike, paddle, prizes and the shotski of all shotskis

With positive energy flowing from all sides on Sunday, April 26, 45 athletes lined up for the third annual CB3P and came away with huge smiles, prizes, liquid libations, food and a soul-warming turn on the ROMP shotski, if so desired.
The CB3P is the brainchild of Tiff Simpson, with massive organizing support from the Crested Butte/Mt. Crested Butte Chamber of Commerce and Elk Mountain Events, and is slowly but surely becoming one of the premier local events.

Gunnison Valley Roller Girls win opening bout

Four years in the making

All of the traveling up and down the valley for workouts, the late nights in gyms, hockey rinks and rec centers for the past four years finally paid off for the Gunnison Valley Roller Girls roller derby team as they won their first bout in the team’s history last weekend in Monte Vista, taking down the San Luis Valley Scarlet Rollers 176-151.

Titans’ soccer continues to have trouble in spring league matches

Record drops to 0-4

Every spring is rough for the Crested Butte Titans high school soccer team, but this one has been especially troubling as the team was unable to score a single goal and lost two more games this past weekend. The team now sits at the bottom of the standings with a record of 0-4.
